The kitten package includes all wellness visits and vaccines as outlined above.

Regular pricing applies to any non-wellness visit, diagnostics, or medications.

At the completion of the kitten series, all vaccines will be good for 1 year. Vaccines will need to given again one year later and boostered regularly from there.

This guideline serves as a template; ages of kittens may vary depending on when previous vaccines were given by the breeder, shelter, or pet store. After reviewing your kitten’s records the veterinarian will determine which vaccines are needed and at what times.

Side effects can occur with any vaccine administered, Signs and symptoms you should monitor for are: localized swelling at the area the vaccine was given, inappetance, increased sleepiness, fever, vomiting, and hives. If these reactions appear or persist contact Beaver Brook Animal Hospital at (860) 757-3346 or your nearest emergency clinic.

The Kitten Package is non-refundable and non-transferrable and expires 6 months from signing.

Breakdown of Vaccines

Feline Rhinotracheitis – is a herpes virus that causes upper respiratory disease. Cats infected with this can be chronically infected.

Calici – a viral disease that is characterized by upper respiratory systems, pneumonia, and oral ulceration.

Panleukopenia (distemper) – is a severe highly contagious viral disease. It tends to invade cells which are rapidly growing like bone marrow, lymph tissue, and the central nervous system.

Rabies – is a 100% fatal viral disease once symptoms appear. It is a zoonotic disease transmittable and lethal to humans

Feline Leukemia** - is a retrovirus that attacks the bone marrow. It is highly contagious and can also lead to lymphoma, a type of cancer.
